Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7373 in Sibley, Iowa, is getting two new freezers and two new refrigerator-freezer units thanks to a grant from the Osceola County Community Foundation.
"We do steak nights out here. Thursday night's our big night for taco night," Darrel De Weerdt, the post's secretary, tells the Des Moines Register.
The $3,750 grant is just the latest in a long line of improvements the post has received from the foundation, which has given more than $1.5 million to community projects over 17 years.
